Chalet De La Maline

Hi I sincerely strongly recommend staying at this chalet located in the heart of the Gorges du Verdon. An ideal place to end the day after walking the Blanc-Martel trail (or to start/continue from this point on other trails). We were warmly welcomed with an incredibly tasty, hearty meal and very good beer . Of course, other drinks are also on offer In addition, you can have breakfast here and replenish your drinking water supply (in bottles) if you intend to sleep outdoors before setting off. Overall prices for accommodation and meals very reasonable. The quality of service provided is also more than decent. You can sleep in comfort without noise. And the view of the canyon. The place has a terrace with a picturesque view of the Gorge du Verdon. It is even worth stopping there by car to have a coffee and admire the amazing view Note a rather important and changing thing. The site has showers depending on the level of the mountain water supply, which means you can't always wash up while staying there overnight. Therefore, before going to this place and making a reservation, it is advisable to read the current information about the conditions of accommodation on the website or simply call the hosts. Most importantly, the hosts who are extremely friendly, open and hospitable taking care of every detail so that you can have the best possible rest, ensuring that you do not lack anything. And on top of that they cook very well. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of welcome, the quality of service and the atmosphere created by Geraldine, Fabrice, Cedric and Maline. You can have very pleasant conversations with them in which there is room for jokes. Generally you can take it easy, chill with them which makes you relaxed and not tense. We stayed there in early May, in a large group of friends & family. The refuge is great, the people working there are great, the view is great, and the food they serve is great! We arrived from Palud-sur-Verdon, did Sentier de l'Imbut, then left via Sentier Blanc-Martel to Rougon, and the location of this refuge was very convenient for this plan. The only drawback was that the drought meant that there was a water shortage, but it is what it is.

the Chalet and it's staff are charming. The food is hearty and nobody goes hungry from the table! However, in the morning I discovered a great number of bed-bugs which have been feeding (among others) on me. Really a nasty thing, as they infect your luggage and bedding and clothes. I informed the manager but think I should warn others

Watch out ! Nice food and friendly staff, but watch out for your car when u spend time here ! I got all my luggages stolen from locked car, seems like thieves are aiming for parked cars around this restaurant because ppl spend lots of time here for drinking coffee or having lunch. It happens often but there is no warning sign, or preventive action from the restaurant. I asked for a help to call a police, but owner just gave me an emergency number and I had to drive more than 30 min to go to the nearest police station. Ruined my day, and ruined my entire holiday due to this robbery,,,,
